 It has been a magnificent season so far for Charlton Athletic and this week they will be attempting to reach their third major Final in 12 months when they play Birmingham City in the F.A.Women's Cup semi finals at Solihull. Charlton and England striker Amanda Barr revealed to Women's Soccer Scene that the Addicks are very hungry for success. "I'm looking forward to it and the rest of the team are as well," she says. "Birmingham will be tough opposition for us but at stake is a place in the Final and the girls are going to be up for the game. We're determined not to lose."Like the rest of her team mates, Amanda is still haunted by their 3-0 defeat by Fulham in the Final last season and she feels that this will help drive them on. "Last year, the way we got beaten by Fulham is still fresh in our minds and we want to put it right. It was the overall performance that we were disappointed with as we didn't get going." With a Premier League Cup Final appearance to come later in the month, and currently five points clear at the top of the National Division, Charlton are still in with a chance of winning the 'treble' but Amanda is quick to point out that there is a long way to go yet. "We are potentially six games away from winning three trophies but to be honest we're not looking at that. Every game is going to be really, really tough but our mentality, and what our manager expects, could set us up for winning trophies." Amanda cannot speak highly enough of Charlton manager Keith Boanas. "Keith is unbelievable. Everyone at the club wants to play for him and he gets the best out of our players. I've been really happy with my performances this season and the majority of that is down to the manager. He always pushes me and supports me, and helps me to play better for this club. "Charlton is a good club throughout - not just the women's section but the staff and the men's players have all been so helpful to us and give us all their support. This club deserves a trophy for all its efforts and we'll be going all out to win one." Amanda has 18 league goals to her name this season but has been out for four weeks through injury and missed last week's win over Fulham. She is fit for the semi final but is taking nothing for granted. "I'm hoping to be in the squad for Sunday but obviously that is up to the manager to decide. We've got a great, strong squad with a lot of strength in depth." She laughs: "My team mates are the ones who set up all the chances for me - I get the easy bit in just putting the ball in the net!"
