 Bristol City captain Carly Bryant could not contain her delight after her team's 6-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon on Sunday, which clinched the Southern Division Championship and promotion to the National Division for next season. "I'm on top of the world right now, just excellent!" said Carly after the game. "It's something you don't really think about but now it's a dream come true - it's what everyone wants. We're going to go and do the best we can." City had been stuttering before their Championship performance on Sunday, but Carly laughed: "It's not been that bad over the last few weeks - we always leave it until the last minute!" Although only 21, Carly is one of the longest serving players at the club as is Heidi Bevan who has missed much of the season with an ankle ligament injury. "My season has been non-existent really," she said. "But I managed to pop up with a few goals at the start of the season and a few at the end. "We saved one of our best performances of the season for the most important game. A 6-0 win is always good, but it's even better against one of the top teams when it matters." Heidi's long absence has meant that Charlotte King has taken over the responsibilities up front and formed a prolific partnership with Angie Tinson. The 17-year-old scored twice to take her tally to 21 for the season, the highest in the Premier League. "I'm pleased with both goals today, it's about time I got back to scoring goals after a few weeks without," admitted Charlotte. "I just do it for the team - it's a team effort and everyone has made a massive contribution. I'm looking forward to the challenge of next year but we've got to prepare properly for it." Another key contribution has come from Katy Little who, like Charlotte, is a member of the Bristol City Academy with full time training and education. The midfielder scored 11 times in the promotion campaign and admits that survival is the first target in the top flight. "We must play to our full potential in every game because all the players in the top division are going to be good ones. We want to stay up. "We certainly made hard work for ourselves but the final day 6-0 scoreline shows we put everything into it. We're just glad everything came good in the end." Photo - Carly Bryant and Charlotte King
