 Charlotte King remained modest about winning the Top Goalscorer Award for the Southern Division. The highly rated 17-year-old striker preferred to praise her Bristol City team mates, saying: "I'm very happy to have contributed but at the end of the day it's about the team."Charlotte revealed that she had sailed past her goal target for the season: "Jack (Edgar, Bristol City manager) speaks to you about targets at the start of the season - my original was 15 but I've ended up with 21, and I'm very pleased with it." Next season will see Charlotte and her team mates have their first attempt at playing the best teams in the country, and she can't wait for it to happen. "Next season will be an amazing experience, I've only played Charlton in a friendly so we'll see how it goes," she enthuses. Charlotte is in doubts as to where the credit for her own form must go - to the Bristol City Academy, where she trains full time five days a week alongside several of her team mates. "I've benefitted hugely - at the Academy I'm training more often than other girls," she admits. "Practice makes perfect, as they say, and practicing my shooting and technical ability every day as well as my fitness helps, my shooting and performances have so improved this season and this has probably shown up in matches."
