 Eniola Aluko has been having a great first full season with Charlton Athletic and added to her ever growing reputation with two well taken goals for her team in their 3-1 victory over Bristol Rovers on Sunday.Speaking to Women's Soccer Scene after the game, Eniola admitted that her team had had to work hard for the points. "We didn't start off well at all, we were a bit complacent," she said. "In the first fifteen minutes they wanted it more and worked harder than us, but I think we showed a lot of grit and determination. We had chances in the first half but it was just a case of no end product. Keith (Boanas) told us at half time to keep going, keep doing what you're doing and make it count in the box." Eniola remains modest about her goals but was full of praise for Sian Williams' pass for her first goal. "It was a great pass," she says. "I was always trying to get on the centre half's shoulder and luckily I got a chance to poke it through and I got a goal! I didn't think I was going to score as the ball was running away from me. I'm delighted to get two goals, it's a long time since I scored two (in a game) but more importantly it gave us a two-goal gap because Bristol looked a bit tired at the end." As for the title race, Eniola feels that they can still cause problems for Arsenal. "It's obviously disappointing that we're waiting on Arsenal to slip up but the only reason that Arsenal are in that position is because of us. But to only lose two games is a good record - with that in consideration we have to go into next season knowing we have to win all, if not most of our games. "We know we can compete with Arsenal and if we can beat them in our last game and put pressure on them, they'll go into their last game against Fulham knowing they will have to win, like we did today. We can only keep winning." After the Arsenal match, all Charlton's attentions will be focused on the forthcoming F.A.Women's Cup Final against Everton. Saying the match is "going to be the biggest game of all our lives", Eniola admits her team mates are extra determined not to lose this time. "We know there is so much emotion and hurt each time because the last two seasons we have lost. I've only been there for one season but most were there the previous time. It's not nice at all, it's horrible - I didn't get over it for about two weeks so going into it we need to give blood, sweat and tears. It's really going to be a big game, but if we give 100% and play like we can play I think we'll do well." Eniola made her full England debut earlier this season at the age of 17 and has made a rapid rise in a very short space of time. Now one of the brightest young talents around, she has her sights set on a place in the England squad for Euro 2005. "I'm working hard, trying to get fitter and fitter. I've been involved in the Algarve Cup and in friendlies and done reasonably well, so I'll just keep working and getting myself seen and hopefully Hope Powell can see my progress, and hopefully she will put me in there and see what I can do."
