 Blackburn Rovers have enjoyed a near perfect season in the Northern Division and they are looking forward to the challenge of playing against the top clubs in the country in the near future.The Northern Division Champions were rewarded with a game at Ewood Park on Tuesday night, when they defeated Newcastle Utd 3-0 in front of a healthy crowd after being presented with the trophy. Hannah Bailey scored two of the goals and the highly rated winger told Women's Soccer Scene after the game that she was delighed with her recent form. "I'm very pleased, I've not been scoring a lot lately but I had scored in the past two games," said Hannah. "It only takes one goal and the confidence is back. "For my first goal, I took it first time so I am quite pleased with that, the second was a bit of a bobble but they all count." Rovers captain Anisha Bateman added: "It was exciting, playing in a stadium like this is fantastic for us. As soon as we found out we were playing here, there were a few butterflies in the stomach but we coped well. "We set our sights high right at the beginning of the season. We were thorough in pre-season training as we knew what our goal was and what we were aiming for." As for the chance to play in the National Division next season, Anisha admits that Blackburn will need to settle and consolidate. "We are going to approach it a bit differently," she says. "It's going to be a lot harder and faster and I think we have got a big task ahead. We've had games against teams in that league so we know what to expect. "I think we are confident that we can go up and establish ourselves, not necessarily finish too high, but we are going to go up there with realistic ambitions to stay in the league. We have got to work a lot harder but that's the price you pay for playing in that league." "I can't wait to have a go at some of the top players and see how I do playing against them," admits Hannah. "Hopefully I can raise my game." Hannah's form is likely to attract interest from England scouts and the 18-year-old feels that playing in the top flight can only benefit her chances. "I definitely hope so," she replies, "we have a lot of scouts coming to games so hopefully, if I am playing well and team is playing well, then I might get spotted.
