 Manchester City will be aiming to cause an F.A.Women's Cup surprise against Birmingham City this Sunday and striker Katie Brusell feels the match will be a good test for her side.Katie, who turns 19 next week, joined City early in the season from Blackburn Rovers and has made a strong impact as her team challenge for a top half place in the Northern Division. This Sunday however, they will take on National Division opponents for a place in the Fifth Round and she is looking forward to the tie. "It's a challenge for us and a game we should look forward to," Katie told Women's Soccer Scene. "Birmingham are a good side who move the ball around well, but we have got the ability to give them a good game." In the Third Round, City came through a tricky tie against Northern Combination title challengers Sheffield Wednesday and, this time, the boot will be on the other foot. "We wanted to test ourselves against a top club like Birmingham after beating Sheffield Wednesday," admits Katie. "There will be no pressure on us as they are expected to win. "When we played Wednesday, it was 3-3 after 90 minutes and the weather was a big factor on the day, but we came through after extra time. A cup run would be good for the club as it would give everyone confidence." City have competed well so far in a closely fought Northern Division and Katie has been pleased with the team's progress since she joined. "I've been enjoying myself at City and have been playing better as a result," she says. "Results have been going alright, starting with a good win against Nottingham Forest in my first game. "Our captain Lindsey Savage is a brilliant player who is good to play with and can play good through balls for me, and I also have a good understanding up front with Nikki Berko. Nikki Twohig is playing well at centre half and I have also been very impressed with Kerry Jackson in midfield. "The squad that we have is very competitive and three still play for our under-16s including Keeleigh Savage, who has scored a few goals and is pushing me for my place!" Katie was a member of the Blackburn squad which carried off the Northern Division title last season and her long term ambitions are to return to the top flight one day, but her sights with City for this season remain realistic. "We are looking for a top four place," she says, "and we have got the ability to finish there. If we can get wins from our home games, that should be the key - we do give teams a good game at Flixton. "Consistency is the key for winning this division, and that is what we had last year at Blackburn. The teams are getting a lot better and stronger, especially physically. "I would love to get back to the Premiership but I am only 18 and have got a few years to do that." Whilst with her first club, Stockport County, Katie was a part of the England fold and she is hopeful of catching the eyes of the selectors once again. "I was picked for the England under-17s to play in the Ireland tournament," she says. "I played three times and was so proud to do so. Unfortunately I broke my foot last season and that probably stopped my progress but I want to get back there again, as it is everyone's ambition to play for your country."
