 Hannah Porter was full of praise for her Colchester United team mates following their surprise 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in the F.A.Women's Cup.The left sided midfielder netted the winning goal against their Premier League opponents but she insists that the whole team played their part on the day. "It was really good to play against a team from a higher league and to play so well," Hannah told Women's Soccer Scene. "We all played well together. "Everyone was really up for the match and we gelled well as a team - everybody played well, especially Jade Morgan who was outstanding at left back." Colchester could even have added to their tally with Rosee Golding hitting the bar and Hannah herself having a shot cleared off the line, but the decisive moment came midway through the second half. "It came from a free kick around 25 yards out," she recalls. "I hit it to the goalkeeper's left and knew I had struck it well. It found the net, everyone jumped on me and I was so happy - it was a great moment. "Villa had a few chances near the end but we held on, although our goalkeeper Louise Murphy did make a good save. It was great when the whistle went, this is the best result of my career so far." Colchester are now into the Fifth Round for the first time in their history, where they will take on Premiership side Birmingham City. "It's a great draw," smiles Hannah. "Right now I am quite excited about the match but on the day I will be nervous. But it is good to be playing at home and, if we play like we did against Aston Villa, we have got a chance." The main goal for Colchester, however, remains promotion as they are one of the main challengers at the top of the South East Combination. "Promotion is the priority," Hannah admits. "We want to get up into the Premier League as we now know we can play at that level. Rushden and Northampton are up with us and it is close, so we need to keep winning. "It is our second year in the league so the team has got used to it and are physically stronger, and also more confident." 18-year-old Hannah is a member of the Colchester United Academy which is proving to be very productive for the club. "About seven or eight players in the first team's starting line up attend the academy," she says. "This is my second year there and I have really improved during that time. "We can work on the parts of our game which need improving and we do a lot of strength and fitness work, that has helped this year as last season we were getting outmuscled in games, now we are giving it back!"
