Women involved in football on and off the pitch will be able to benefit from Coaching and Goalkeeper days organised by Birmingham County FA at Redhill School during May and June. Girls and Women from the Black Country are invited to grab the opportunity to enjoy a day of Goalkeeper Coaching at the Stourbridge venue on Tuesday 27th May. For just £5, females from throughout the region will be treated to four hours of fun sessions designed to improve their ability between the posts. Qualified Coaches will be on hand to deliver practical sessions that will suit all ages and abilities. "All those attending will learn a great deal from the day, taking back some new ideas and skills to their clubs whilst have lots of fun along the way!" said BCFA Girls Football Coach, Jenna Martin who is organizing the event. Redhill School will also host a Female Only Level 1 coaching course over two weekends in June. The course is designed to offer the perfect introduction to understanding how to coach grassroots football along with modules in first aid, child protection and basic laws of the game. "Previous courses like this have proved really popular - especially at this introductory level," said BCFA Development Officer, Laura Milburn. "Some women feel they can gain more confidence early on in their coaching by being in a female-only environment. We want to remove any barriers that might prevent them from getting involved." Candidates will benefit from four days of tuition on the 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd June delivered in a friendly, positive environment by FA Instructors. For more information on either of these events, please contact Birmingham County FA's Development Office on 0121 357 4278 (option 2) or e-mail development@birminghamfa.com. | ||||||||||||||||
