 Women's Football News 23 Apr 2008

Hayden Youth Association and the London FA are pleased to announce their first Girls Fun Day and Under-11 Girls Football tournament.

This is to be held on May 10th at Hayden Youth Association FC, Leyton Cross Road, Wilmington, Kent.

They are very lucky to have the FA Tesco Skills team coming along to run skills challenges throughout the day for girls of all abilities and have just had confirmed that there will be an England Ladies player present in the afternoon to present the medals and trophies for the tournament.

One of the aims of the day is to encourage girls to take their first step into football through the FA Tesco Skills challenges, and for players with a bit more experience, and teams to participate in the tournament in the afternoon.

It promises to be a fantastic day for girls of all abilities, aged 5-11 years, so if you want to come along to the morning skills sessions, which are FREE of charge and start at 10am, or if you want to enter a team into the U11 tournament which starts at 12 noon, please contact Emma Barnes at the London FA for a booking form and more details at emma.barnes@londonfa.com.
