We are pleased to announce the arrival of the first South London Girls Football League, in partnership with Southwark Council, Aylesbury NDC and the London FA. The league will run centrally from Burgess Park, Albany Road, SE5 7JW, on Sunday mornings for 12 weeks starting from 8th June 2008. There will be 2 leagues running, one for Under-10 girls (school years 4 & 5) and one for Under-12 girls (school years 6 & 7). The league is looking to attract girls teams that may be starting out or clubs that have girls playing in their boys sections but want to bring them together to start a team, schools, youth clubs and estate teams. There is a small entry charge of £20 per team, and this will cover affiliation fees, referees and pitch hire, although teams within Southwark will not have to pay a fee due to funding that has been obtained from Aylesbury NDC. At the end of the 12 weeks, there will be a trophy and medals awarded for the top team, and runners-up. If you are interested in entering a team into the league, or would like more information please contact Emma on (07921) 050375 or emma.barnes@londonfa.com. | ||||||||||||||||
