Lincoln move to secure Jodie signing
 Women's Football News 30 Apr 2008

Although the 2007-08 season has only just finished, affairs behind the scenes are under way at Lincoln City to try to make next season the most successful in the history of the club.

Lincoln City LFC is pleased to announce that their top goalscoring striker and the 2006-07 winner of the Northern Division Golden Boot award, Jodie Snelson, has signed a new contract with the club to play for them in the 2008-09 campaign.

"I am absolutely delighted that Jodie has signed a new contract to play for Lincoln next season," said delighted Lady Imps chairman Geoff Adams. "I know that just about all the first team players from last season have pledged that they will stay with us, and make it a priority to get our club up to the National Division next season - but Jodie is the first to put pen to paper, and it is a huge credit to this player who is, quite frankly, good enough to play for any club presently in the National Division, to show her loyalty to her club and put pen to paper so early.

"We are very excited to have Jodie playing for us again next season, and I believe with the ability this player has in front of goal, we have now gone a long way to achieving this club's highest ambition - to play in the top division of Ladies football."
