Liverpool are set to end their first season back in the top flight of the Premier League with a match at Anfield in aid of the Women Against Lung Cancer campaign. The Reds will face the Northern Ireland national team on Saturday 10 May with an 11am kick off, with all proceeds going to the charity. Club secretary Jane Campbell says: "We are hoping the game will help raise the profile of women's football as well as raising money for very worthwhile cause. "The aim is to make it an annual Anfield event so we would like as many people as possible to come along and support the game and the charity." Admission will be £2 and tickets are available from both Anfield (at the tour museum desk) and the Liverpool FC city centre shop. If you are live outside Merseyside but would like to pre-book tickets or to obtain further information on the event, e-mail jane.campbell@live.co.uk. | |||||||||||||||||
