Double joy for Oldland
 Women's Football News 30 Apr 2008

Oldland Abbotonians completed the League and Cup 'double' in the Gloucestershire County Women's League when they beat Bristol & West 4-0 to wrap up the title.

Sarah Clarkson, Lisa McCormick, Jess Cole and Gemma Summers scored the goals to clinch the league for Oldland, ironically it was the first time they have topped the table during the season.

Two days earlier, Oldland landed the League Cup with a 2-1 victory over league runners-up Cam Bulldogs in the Final at Yate. In a match played in torrential rain at times, Jess Cole and Gemma Summers scored the goals to earn Oldland the trophy for the first time with Cam replying through an own goal from a Michelle Purse corner.
