Fire Service continue support
 Women's Football News 11 Jan 2010

The West Midlands Fire Service have today announced their continued support for women and girls football in Birmingham by sponsoring some of their various programmes to boost women's and girls' football in the region.

As part of the partnership between the BCFA and WMFS Staff, members have been invited to attend their Training Centre in Smethwick on Thursday 15th April to take part in a 'Firefighter Challenge' at WMFS Training Centre: Dartmouth Road, Smethwick, B66 1BG. Teams of four or five will compete and between ten and twenty participants can compete in any one session (split into 2 or 4 teams). Once teams are fully kitted out they will be put to task on four timed activities including:

Cage crawl
Shuttle runs with weights
Equipment assembly and then de-assemble it correctly
Locating a casualty in a dark, smoky room
Guiding your team mates round the smoke house using only hand signals!

For further information on the sponsorship please contact Polly Fildes on (0121) 357 4278 or e-mail her by visiting www.birminghamfa.com.
