Trevivian leads Female Coaches event
 Women's Football News 15 Jan 2010

Nearly 40 individuals from across the region took part in the latest Essex County Football Association Female Coaches' Association Event focusing on 'Coaching Elite Players' as Regional Development Manager for the East of England, Peter Trevivian, offered the benefits of his experience to the participants.

The evening, at Colchester United FC's Sports and Community Centre recently, was organised in partnership between the ECFA Coaches' Association and United's Female Centre of Excellence and was delivered by Trevivian, who has led a number of popular events in the County in recent years.

He opened the evening with a short presentation in the Study Support Centre discussing 'Getting What You Practice: The Benefits and Trade-Offs of Each Practice' and 'The Planning and Preparation of Each Session'.

The group were then invited to watch him lead a session with the Under-16s Female Centre of Excellence involving a technical session and an opposed practice, finishing with a small-sided game. The evening closed with a discussion and a Question & Answer session where Peter was quizzed on what he had delivered.

The session was a great success, attracting coaches from a wide variety of clubs including those from senior to grassroots clubs and individuals from female and male backgrounds.

Emma Burden, ECFA Girls' & Women's Development Officer for the Outer Essex region, was one of the organisers of the event and she was delighted with the outcome, explaining: "I'd like to say a massive thank you to the Female Centre of Excellence and their players for ensuring that the evening was a success and all the coaches who made the effort on a Wednesday evening to continue with their development."
