Cup cheer for Luton
 Women's Football News 20 Jan 2010

Luton Town shrugged off their disappointing Premier League campaign to run out 4-1 winners over Cambridge Women and book their place in the Fourth Round of the F.A.Women's Cup.

Helen Brown, Laveena Betts, Jody Lapish and Nicky Livingstone were all on target for Luton who now travel to Portsmouth for a place in the last sixteen.

Curzon Ashton came through a tricky tie away to Middlesbrough with a 2-1 victory and they await the winners of the much-postponed tie between Liverpool Feds and Rochdale. Shelley James and Amanda Goodwin scored the goals for Curzon.

The all-South West Combination tie went the way of Yeovil Town, who defeated Newquay 3-1. Jemma Tewkesbury broke through to put Yeovil ahead on the half hour and, after Newquay had levelled matters early in the second half, Anusia Rourke put the Somerset side back in front and Tewkesbury headed in her second goal to wrap up the win. Yeovil face a long trip in the Fourth Round to either Milton Keynes Dons or Norwich City.
