East Midlands League Loughborough Students made sure that they maintained the Premier Division's only unbeaten record with a 2-0 victory over Corby S & L. The result takes them into third place, four points off the pace but with three games in hand. Grimsby Town lifted themselves up four places and into second in Division One North by beating Lenton Athletic 7-2 in the division's only game, however they still trail runaway leaders Retford Utd by eleven points. In Division One South, Long Eaton Utd defeated Oadby & Wigston 3-1 to move themselves into second place. At the other end of the table, it was a great day for Asfordby Amateurs as they recorded their first league win of the season, 2-0 away to Raunds Town, to lift themselves off the bottom. Eastern Region League Cambridge University took full advantage of their rivals' inactivity to crush Taverham 18-0 and take over the leadership of the Premier Division. Amanda Wainwright led the scoring with an eight-goal haul whilst Leesa Haydock weighed in with a hat-trick. Kate Robinson and Lisa Grimes both netted doubles and the tally was completed by strikes from Danielle Griffiths, Romy Trigg-Smith and Manon Van Thorenburg. In Division One South, fourth placed Brentwood Town closed the gap on the top three by running out 6-0 winners over Hoddesdon Owls. Carla Rose and Kerry Mills each netted twice, with one apiece from Kerri Thomas and Danielle Butler. North East League Only one match managed to survive the weather and County Cup duties throughout the league on Sunday and it took place in the Premier Division. Hull City climbed up to fifth place, their highest position of the season to date, thanks to a 2-1 victory over York City. South West League Just the one match was played on the weekend but it resulted in a change of leadership in the Eastern Division. Forest Green Rovers reclaimed top spot in the table as they came away from Winscombe Res with a 5-2 victory in which Steph Lewis, Sam Wiggin, Ella Hitchcock, Jo Herd and Genna Lapore were all on the scoresheet. West Midlands League This league was also badly affected with just a solitary match managing to beat the weather. Hereford Pegasus picked up an important 4-2 win away to Kidderminster Harriers, a result which takes them out of the bottom two in the Premier Division. Charlotte Criddle was on target twice, along with Becky Gummary and Nina Emery. * No matches were played in the London & South East League, North West League and Southern Region League on Sunday.
