Riana nominated for award
 Women's Football News 22 Jan 2010

Barnet and Middlesex County FA midfield player Riana Soobadoo has been nominated for Young Female Sports Personality of the Year in the British Asian Sports Awards.

Riana has made the final three after being judged by a panel of experts including former English cricketer Mark Ramprakash; Evening Standard Sports Editor, Mihir Bose, Tracy Edwards (MBE) and Olympic gold medal winner Denise Lewis, (OBE). It is now down to the public to decide who wins.

To vote for Riana, call (09050) 260308 or text BASA 308 to 84555. Lines close midnight on Thursday 4th February.

Riana will find out if she is successful at the awards ceremony taking place on Saturday 6th February at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Now in its tenth year, the Change4life British Asian Sports Awards is the only awards programme of its kind and prides itself on acknowledging and celebrating the current British Asian sporting talent and aims to motivate and inspire the next generation of talented British Asian sports people across the United Kingdom. Previous winners include boxer Amir Khan and cricketer Mark Ramprakash.
