Josendal and Falk join Liverpool
Liverpool FC Women have completed the signings of Norway forward Anna Josendal from Hammarby IF and Jennifer Falk from BK Häcken of Sweden.
24-
Josendal will wear the No.21 shirt and told Liverpoolfc.com upon finalising the switch: "It feels amazing to be here. This has been my dream since I was a little kid – Liverpool has always been my favourite team and my whole family is supporting them as well, so it's big for me.
"I spoke a lot with Gareth and Andy [O'Boyle] and that felt so good, and also to play in the Barclays Women's Super League, the best league in Europe, is something I really look forward to.
"To play for this shirt is going to be so special, so I can't wait to get started."
Josendal began her professional career in her homeland at Avaldsnes IL before moving to Rosenborg BK at the beginning of 2022.
In 2023, she won the Norwegian Women's Cup and was named Toppserien Player of the Year after registering 17 goal involvements (eight goals, nine assists) from her 24 top flight outings.
Josendal has spent the past two campaigns in Sweden with Hammarby, where she was on the scoresheet 12 times in all competitions. She has represented Norway's senior team since June 2022 and appeared at the 2023 Women's World Cup.

An experienced goalkeeper, Falk captained Häcken to a memorable Damallsvenskan title in November. She is also an established international, with more than 40 caps for Sweden and was first choice during UEFA Euro 25 last summer, memorably saving four penalties in the quarter final shootout against England’s Lionesses.
Her long service to Hacken began in 2016 before which she had played at fellow Swedish sides Mallbackens IF, Jitex BK and Torslanda IK.
Falk becomes the second addition of the January window for Gareth Taylor’s team, joining her good friend and fellow Swede Alice Bergström at the Reds. She put pen to paper on a deal at the AXA Melwood Training Centre following the completion of her medical on Merseyside.
Falk told Liverpoolfc.com: “I’m very happy and very excited, I’m looking forward to it. It’s been a dream I’ve had to play in this league and this is a really big club so I’m really happy.
“I think the environment here is amazing, it’s cozy but big, it has everything that you could need. It’s a nice feeling seeing everything.”
As well as Bergström, Falk will join a growing group of friendly faces to help her settle in at LFC with fellow Swedes Cornelia Kapocs and current top scorer Beata Olsson already well known to her.
“It feels really good to have them here. I played with Alice for the last two years and I played with Cora (Cornelia) and Beata at the national team. Having them here will really help settling in so it’s really nice to have them here.”
Looking back on securing the Swedish title as captain in November, Falk is hoping she can her leadership skills will be a useful attribute with her new team.
“It really was a big moment, we came second a lot before so finally winning the title was really big. I always try to be myself, I’m very vocal and driven and I’ll just try to do the same things here as I’ve always done.”
Falk will wear the number 28 shirt for Liverpool for the rest of the 2025-
“I asked my daughter to choose which number she wanted me to have. She picked 28 and she’s only three so I checked again in ten minutes later to see if she chose the same which she did!”
LFC Women return to action in the WSL this Sunday with a home fixture against London City Lionesses.
