Leicester City swoop to sign Ashleigh Neville
Leicester City have agreed an undisclosed fee with Tottenham Hotspur for the permanent transfer of defender Ashleigh Neville, subject to league approval.
The 32-
Speaking to Foxes Hub, Ashleigh said: "This is a new challenge, and I want to help the team put as many points on the board as possible. I’m hoping that the experience I have both on and off the pitch can help.
“Now is the right time for a new challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing what this new chapter will bring.”
Ashleigh arrives in Leicestershire with a wealth of Barclays Women’s Super League experience, having made over 100 appearances for Spurs in the top flight since their promotion to the division in 2018-
Born in West Bromwich, Ashleigh began her senior career with Sporting Club Albion in 2011 and went on to represent the West Midlands side for two seasons before earning a move to Coventry United.
Her consistency and influence on performances were recognised during her spell in the West Midlands, which secured her a move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2017. A promotion from the Championship followed one year later in 2018-
Ashleigh would go on to become a mainstay in Spurs’ starting XI in the WSL and made history in February 2025 by becoming the first Tottenham player to reach 100 WSL appearances.
She has now joined her new team mates at Belvoir Drive and will be in contention to face her former club in our return to league action on Sunday 11 January.
The club can also confirm that a deal has been agreed between LCFC Women and PSV Eindhoven for the permanent transfer of Janice Cayman, subject to league approval.

An influential figure both on and off the pitch, she leaves having made a significant contribution to the development of LCFC Women as an established Barclays Women’s Super League team.
