FA invite Award nominations
 Women's Football News 25 Feb 2004

The Football Association's Annual Women's Football Awards Lunch will be held on Friday May 7th. The Awards, presented in partnership with Nationwide, will take place just days after the FA's flagship women's football fixture, The FA Women’s Cup Final, which is being televised live on BBC1 for the third successive year.

The Special Achievement Award is one of the most prestigious categories at the Lunch and recognises the efforts of those who have made a difference in the women's game, whether it be on or off the pitch. Last year's winner Mary Hull was the retiring Chairwoman of Aston Villa Ladies FC and had put decades of work off the pitch into developing local women's football after initially playing herself.

Once again, the FA is inviting nominations for this Award, which must be received by March 31st. The nominations should be made in writing, in no more than 300 words, explaining why the nominee deserves this recognition.

Nominations should be sent to Sarah Pluves at The FA by e-mail: sarah.pluves@TheFA.com or by post to 25 Soho Square, London W1D 4FA. The winning nominee will be invited along with a guest to attend the FA Women's Football Awards on May 7th.
