England begin another UEFA Under-19 Championship campaign next week and will have home advantage as they attempt to advance to the second stage of the qualifiers. England face Scotland, Croatia and the Faroe Islands in the group matches, to be played at Burton and Telford, and Chantelle Parry is hopeful that they can make a big impact in the tournament this time around. "I'm looking forward to it all starting again, and hopefully we can get to the Finals again this time," Chantelle told Women's Soccer Scene. "We'll have home support for the matches and hopefully we can get people behind us." Chantelle, one of the rising young stars of women's football, was a member of the England squad which narrowly failed to reach the semi finals in Hungary during the summer, but she feels that the experience of a major tournament will have done the squad a lot of good. "We've got a strong squad that gets on well together," she says. "After what happened in the summer, we are extra determined that we want to go one better this time. We've had a taste of the Finals and enjoyed it, and we want to do it all again. "I have never played against Croatia or the Faroe Islands, so they will be new opponents for me. The big match is obviously against Scotland, which is the last game and should be the group decider." Chantelle appeared as a substitute when England beat Scotland 3-1 in the UEFA Finals in Hungary. "It was brilliant to beat them, it's always good to beat the Scots!" she laughs. "We've only lost three of the players from Hungary, so it is still a nice young squad which is quite experienced in these games as well. Fern Whelan is getting better all the time, Dani Bird always performs well at this level, Jill Scott and Steph Houghton and really good players but I could name many more who could stand out." Chantelle herself has made a good start to the season with Everton, scoring three goals as the Toffees have moved into top spot in the National Division. The youngster gave a very impressive performance as a lone striker in last season's F.A.Women's Cup Final but has reverted to playing on the wing. "I'm pleased with the way I am playing at the moment," says Chantelle. "I'm scoring goals at the moment, but I don't usually get many! "In the summer, before going to Hungary, I played for IBV in Iceland along with my Everton team mate Danielle Hill. It was tough football and a good standard, and playing there has got my fitness levels up. "Last season we signed five quality players but we seem to have gelled better this season. The team is full of confidence and we really can get some silverware, we can go all the way as we've got a really good side." But for now, Chantelle's thoughts are solely on qualification for the next round and moving closer to next year's Finals which are in Switzerland. "The Finals in Hungary were really good and enjoyable," she says. "We stayed with the Scottish and French squads and got to know each other whilst we were there. It was brilliant, I enjoyed every minute and I want to do it again."
