Leeds United manager Julie Chipchase is pleased with their draw in the F.A.Women's Cup semi finals but also sounded a note of caution. The Yorkshire side, who have never reached the Final in their history, have enjoyed a superb Cup run which has seen them record victories over Doncaster Rovers Belles, Everton and Birmingham City. Now they have been paired with Northern Division leaders Liverpool but the Leeds boss is taking nothing for granted ahead of the game, which will take place on 12th March. "I have to be pleased with the draw, but in no way do we think we are in the Final already," she said. "If we don't play to our best we will be punished by them (Liverpool), they are top of the Northern Division and have some good players. "I will be making sure our players only focus on the semi final - it is a Cup semi final and league positions go out of the window. Nothing less than playing to the best of their ability will do, with the same work rate and determination shown in recent games. "Our players are more than capable of going all the way but it is up to us to show it and prove we want it more than anyone else. I have always said the F.A.Cup is very special. "I want Leeds to be in the Final and we will all be working from now until our game, to prepare in the right way to make sure that happens." Leeds and England midfielder Sue Smith - who has never yet played in the FA Cup Final - added: "I am delighted with the draw, we have to be. I do realise that Liverpool will probably be equally as pleased as us with the draw though! I want to get to that Final so badly, and so do all the team. "We won't be silly enough to think that we only have to turn up to win. We are in good form though, and don't fear playing anyone. "It will be a tough game, I have no doubt, and that is what we are expecting from Liverpool. We haven't had any luck in recent years in the cups and have had tough draws all the way so far so maybe it's our year - who knows, I hope so!" | |||||||||||||||||
