Promising North Shields Juniors youngsters Kirsty Haddock and Laurel Davidson have made the step into senior football by signing for Whitley Bay.
Both are 16 years of age and impressed at Whitley's recent open trials. Kirsty, a defender, is a versatile player and can operate in any position across the back four. Laurel, a striker, has been one of the North East's most prolific scorers in junior football in recent seasons.
Both are exciting prospects and Whitley Manager Colin Phillips is pleased to have signed the pair. "Kirsty and Laurel are good prospects for the future and go straight into the first team squad," he said. "I am sure they will make an impact and in the short time they have trained with us I can see
they have potential."
