Nottingham Forest continue to push at the head of the Northern Division and their 5-2 victory over Crewe Alexandra takes them ten points clear.
Nicola Gallimore gave Crewe an early lead which was cancelled out by Kirsty Robson before Natalie Staneff and Lauren Cresswell made it 3-1 to Forest at half time. Gallimore scored her second goal but Forest went on to wrap up the points with further goals from Beth Bailey and Andi Bell.
Sunderland maintained their excellent run and are level on points with second placed Lincoln City following their 2-0 win against Tranmere Rovers. Natalie Gutteridge put them in front in the 10th minute and Lucy Bronze completed the victory with the second goal, fourteen minutes from time.
The match between Stockport County and Sheffield Wednesday was abandoned in the 71st minute, with Wednesday leading 4-0 at the time. Beth Gingell and Rachel Skeemer had put Wednesday two ahead inside the opening eight minutes with Gingell netting her second from the penalty spot just before half time, and Shelley Donahoe scoring the fourth early in the second half.
