Everton rounded off their season by scoring seven without reply against Charlton Athletic.

Fara Williams followed up her midweek hat-trick for England by giving the Toffees an early lead from the penalty spot and the midfielder went on to net a second, with further goals coming from Toni Duggan (2), Jo Potter, Jody Handley and Lindsay Johnson.

The other relegated team, Cardiff City, made sure of going out with a victory as they defeated third placed Leeds Utd 3-2. Natasha Harding gave Cardiff a first half lead which was cancelled out by Jess Clarke, but Carla Parfitt ensured that the South Wales side led at the interval. Steph Houghton equalised two minutes after the restart, but Kelly Isaac struck soon afterwards to give Cardiff a happy end to the season.

Chelsea secured fifth place for themselves by coming from behind to beat Birmingham City 3-1. Becky Hall gave Birmingham the lead five minutes before half time but Chelsea were back on terms just six minutes after the restart with a goal from Casey Stoney. Ellen White then put Chelsea in front for the first time and Dunia Susi wrapped up the victory with two minutes remaining.
