![]() Nottingham Forest were presented with the Northern Division trophy by Peter Brown of the Football Association before the last home game of the season for Nottingham Forest against Yeovil Town, making it a double whammy celebration. With the men's team gaining promotion to the Championship and Forest Ladies' counterparts receiving their hard earned silverware it was a day to remember for players, management and staff. Forest were cheered and applauded as they walked around the pitch in a highly charged atmosphere at the City Ground. The crowd was a sell out and Forest Ladies enjoyed the limelight after a hard season culminating with promotion to the National Division for the first time in their history. Forest captain Kelly Finley said: "It was a moment to savour and the squad enjoyed the occasion. It was a bittersweet moment for me though as I am a Derby County supporter, but nothing could be better for me as captain of Forest Ladies which is an honour in itself." | |||||||||||||||||
