Blackburn Rovers are looking for talented female footballers to join their title winning reserve team. Rovers' second string have recently gained promotion back to Midlands/North Division One after finishing top of the Division Two table by three points. On the back of this success, a number of girls have made the step up to the first team squad and Rovers are now looking to recruit new players. Open trials will be held at St. Bede's High School, Blackburn, on Saturday June 7th from 11am to 1pm. Girls of all ages and abilities are welcome, however all attendees must turn 16 or over during the 2008-09 season. The club will be paying particularly close attention to potential goalkeepers, but players from every position will be evenly assessed. The trials will be held on Astroturf, so appropriate footwear is essential. Please contact Women & Girls Development Officer Gemma Donnelly on either (01254) 296123 or e-mail GDonnelly@rover-mail.co.uk to confirm attendance. | ||||||||||
