England Under-17 have been drawn in Group D of the FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup, to be held in New Zealand.
The draw took place in Wellington, New Zealand on Sunday to determine the four groups for the opening phase of the tournament, which kicks off on 28 October.
Lois Fidler's young side were drawn in Group D, where they will face Brazil, Korea Republic and an African qualifier in the group stages of the tournament.
"At present, we don't know very much about any of the teams," Fidler explained. "They are unknown quantities, as we will be to them. Therein lies the challenge at this age group.
"On paper, the draw could have been kinder. You would expect creative flair from the Brazilians, regimented discipline from the Koreans and brute power and size from the African nations. We can't wait to find out and begin looking at our opposition."
England's draw means they will play their group matches in Wellington and Fidler suggested that may give her side some additional support during the opening phase of the tournament.
"We are very pleased to be in Wellington," she said. "There is a large ex-pat community which hopefully means we will get some good support, and thus far the hand of friendship extended by those organising the tournament and the local community has been fantastic.
"We are very much looking forward to playing our first two games here, especially renewing a traditional rivalry with Brazil in the first game."
The African (CAF) qualifiers are still to be finalised, with Cameroon, Nigeria and Ghana vying for the two qualifying spots. The first qualifier from that group will join Group D.
The CONCACAF qualifiers are also still to be confirmed, with eight teams competing for three qualifying berths.
The draw in full:
* The winners of the yet-to-be-contested CONCACAF preliminary competition, who were seeded in the draw.
CAF Qualifiers: Two teams from Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria
CONCACAF Qualifiers: Three teams from Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago and USA.
