Northern Combination champions Curzon Ashton have announced Mark Bradshaw as their new manager to lead them in the next level in women's football when they play in the Northern Division of the Premier League this coming season.
Mark, the club's current sports development officer, started his playing career with Blackpool FC and went on to make over 500 senior appearances, including stints at York City, Macclesfield Town, Halifax Town and Stafford Rangers.
Mark has been a coach at Curzon Ashton for three years, having set up a junior structure to support the ladies team with six teams in various age groups. Last season, Mark managed a team for the Greater Manchester Centre of Excellence for Girls, which is based at Curzon Ashton's Tameside Stadium.
Mark said: "I am really excited about this opportunity and look forward to the many challenges that lie ahead".
Joining Mark in the dug-out next season will be new assistant manager Wayne Salkeld, who is a current junior coach and committee member of the club.
