![]() Under a lucrative five-year club name sponsorship deal with Ray Trew's brand new company 'OOH Media Group PLC', the Lady Imps official club name will now read 'OOH Lincoln Ladies F.C.' Included in the sponsorship package will be the Lady Imps away shirt, which Trew's other company Sports TV has sponsored for several years. "Everyone at the club is delighted with the sponsored change of our club name and the way it has worked out," said Lady Imps chairman Geoff Adams. "OOH stands for 'Out Of Home' - but the actual company name is shortened down to read OOH Media Group PLC, therefore our club is now registered as 'OOH Lincoln Ladies F.C.' For us it's snappy, catchy, easy to remember and I hope it will create a few new terrace chants at our games," he continued. "Ray Trew and OOH Media Group PLC have virtually secured the club financially over the next five years with this massively generous sponsorship, and I was personally delighted when the change of club name was passed unanimously at our well attended AGM on 15th June. "I take this opportunity to express, on behalf of the whole club, our thanks to Ray and OOH Media Group for their generosity. This fantastic sponsorship will enable the club to continue to attract and keep the sort of players we hope can gain our club promotion to the top flight of women's football, and keep us there, amongst all the other things that are vital to the running of a successful football club. "I think it's important that I once again stress that this change of name for our club in no way means that we are making any sort of move away from, or severing any present links with, Lincoln City F.C. "I'm pleased to say that we will carry on playing in their colours, which we use for our home shirt, and we'll continue to be known as the Lady Imps. The basic format of the new club name was agreed with Lincoln City, and they understand that we have to raise money in any way we can, and the sponsorship of our club name is an extremely good way of raising much needed revenue," he said.
