![]() After the Acton Sports Club pitch and clubhouse was sadly shut down at the end of last season, the ladies section started looking elsewhere and found a new home just round the corner from their old West London ground and has now joined forces with Old Actonians F.C., a long standing men's club boasting 10 senior teams and a youth section. The ladies squad has been made to feel very welcome and are very excited by the move to Old Actonians' impressive and well looked after facilties and are positive this will aid them in their quest for promotion to the South East Combination this season having come so close in their last two campaigns. The club is also pleased to annouce that a new management team has been put in place to take the first team to a higher level. Natalie Huntley takes over as First Team Manager, having previously lead Staines Town to a treble winning season in 2005-06 as well as a succesful stint with the Bucks/Berks Under-16 boys Rep team. Natalie comes with plenty of experience and knowledge that will aid the team greatly. Also joining the set up is Andy Homent who takes on the role of First team coach. Andy also coaches for Reading FC and worked with Natalie for the Bucks/Berks Rep team last season. The club is delighted to have them both on board and are confident their appointments will help the team push for promotion this season. The club is also looking to appoint a similar set up for the promising reserves side which is currently without a manager. Any interested candidates are encouraged to contact the reserve team captain Marian Kelly on (07986) 008791 or e-mail marianckelly@yahoo.co.uk for more information. Level 1 coaching qualification is a minimum requirement as well as availability for training on Thursday nights and games on Sundays. These positions are voluntary. The club would like to strengthen the current squad in all positions and any new players wishing to join the club at this exciting time are welcome to contact Natalie Huntley on (07912) 050374 or e-mail nataliehuntley@hotmail.co.uk for more information.
