England defender Laura Bassett is the major new signing for Arsenal ahead of the new season.
The 25-year-old former Birmingham City captain is one of three new arrivals with the reigning Champions and is set to make her debut in the FA Women's Community Shield match against Everton at Macclesfield on Thursday. She is set to bolster the defence which lost the services of Mary Phillip and Anita Asante over the summer.
Scotland international midfielder Natalie Ross has signed from Hibernian, following in the footsteps of starlet Kim Little who joined the Gunners midway through last season. The 19-year-old will combine her football with studying at the Arsenal Academy and is rated as one of her country's hottest prospects.
Niamh Fahey joins the squad from Galway, where she played for Salthill Devon in Ireland. The 20-year-old central defender is a regular starter for the Irish national team and will add height and strength to the team.
