![]() On Sunday they became the Essex County FA Charter Standard Champions after winning the trophy for the third year in succession. Chelmsford topped their group with a 100% record, which meant a place in the Final against Eastern Region League rivals Brentwood Town, who also won their group. In an evenly contested Final, Emma Ridings put City into an early lead but Brentwood's Carla Rose levelled to send the game into extra time. Both sets of players looked extremely tired and no further goals meant a penalty shootout which Chelmsford won 4-3 with Laura Brown stepping up to coolly convert the decisive penalty.
