![]() Nicola started her career at Lincoln City where she was called up in to a senior England training camp, following a very successful Nordic Cup for the U21's in 2006 where she played in the 3-2 victory against Finland and also came off the bench to feature in the 3-2 defeat to Germany, impressing Under-21 Head Coach, Brent Hills. Nicola in fact made history by becoming the first Lincoln City player to be called into the full England women's team. Nicola decided to move in to the National Division after Lincoln failed to gain promotion and joined Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2007. Nicola has represented England at Under-17, 19, 21 and Under-23 level. Belles Manager John Buckley said: "I am extremely happy to have signed Nicola. She is a good height for a goalkeeper, is a decent kicker of the ball and a very good shot stopper. Nicola has been involved with England all the way through her young career and we think that this move will further enhance her chances of a senior call up in the future.' Nicola is the sister of centre half Jack Hobbs, who became Rafael Benitez's seventh summer signing at Liverpool in 2005 when he signed a three year professional contract on his 17th birthday, signing from Lincoln City.
