Combination Leagues round-up - 5 Dec 2008 - Women's Football NewsNorthern Combination
Salford Sports Village have moved up into second place after they defeated Bradford City 2-1 with goals from Chelsea Scholes and Iesha Mandell.

Morley Spurs are settling down well in the league following promotion and their 1-0 victory over Stockport County has taken them into a mid-table position, Jodie Hunter scoring the only goal of the game.

Midland Combination
Coventry City are the new leaders in the Midland Combination, replacing Derby County at the top after beating them 2-1. Crissy Torkildsen and Milly Durrant scored first half goals to give the Sky Blues the points, with Lauren Steadman reducing the arrears for Derby after the break. However the win was marred as Coventry's Jade Formaston was taken to hospital with what appears to be a serious hip injury.

Copsewood (Coventry) are a further point adrift in third place following their 5-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra. Rhia Baker was on target twice along with Leanne McKenna, Kate Stevens and Nicola Foskett.

South East Combination
One match managed to survive the weather on the weekend, at Tottenham Hotspur where visitors Northampton Town came away with a 3-0 victory.

Nicky Robson, Beth Gale and Laura Sutherland were all on target for the Cobblers.

South West Combination
Queen's Park Rangers kept up the pace at the top of the table and preserved their lead of seven points by winning 4-0 away to Oxford City.

Yeovil Town hold on to second place as they defeated Reading Royals by the same scoreline. Anousia Rourke netted twice, with one apiece from Amy Wild and Jemma Tewksbury.

Forest Green Rovers meanwhile scored six without reply away to Weston St Johns, spearheaded by a hat-trick from Helen Wood. Charlotte King, Katie Cook and Candy Hopson were also on target for the Gloucestershire side.
