Arsenal and Scotland striker Julie Fleeting is expecting her first baby. The 28-year-old, who was awarded the MBE last year, will miss the rest of the season and manager Vic Akers told www.arsenal.com: "We'll be missing Julie Fleeting for the season from now onwards but we congratulate her and wish her all the best - hopefully she'll have a good pregnancy and be right to return for us down the line." It has also been confirmed that England winger Karen Carney will be joining up with Chicago Red Stars in the re-launched American League this year. "Karen Carney has told me that she will be going over to the US for the experience," added Akers. "She's young, and we will leave the door ajar for her to return here. She has been a great player for us, and one of my best signings - we wish her well."
