Wales completed their group matches in the Algarve Cup with a crushing 5-1 victory over Poland.
Manager Adrian Tucker made a number of changes to his starting line up but they proved to be far too strong for their opponents and the result was never in doubt following a four-goal blast during the first half.
Wales captain Jayne Ludlow started the ball rolling by giving her side the lead midway through the first half and Gwennan Harries added a second just after the half hour. Ludlow and Harries went on to complete their doubles with further strikes to put the Welsh in complete command at the break.
In the second half, with the game over as a contest, there was no further scoring until the last ten minutes. Firstly, Poland scored a consolation through Pauline Kawalec but Wales responded with four minutes remaining as substitute Helen Lander bagged their fifth goal.
Wales will now finish off with a positional match on Wednesday, their opponents are to be confirmed.
