Steph joins Newcastle - 30 Jun 2009 - Women's Football NewsNewcastle United are delighted to announce their third signing of the close season as Steph O'Brien has signed from local rivals Sunderland.
 
Steph is 21 years old and has just graduated from Northumbria University having previously been a member of the successful Football Academy at Gateshead College. She brings with her a huge amount of experience after playing in the National and Northern Divisions; she will also add versatility to the squad as she is capable of operating in a number of positions.
 
Newcastle manager Neil Baistow said: "We are pleased that Steph has agreed to join us and she is looking forward to a new challenge. She can play in numerous positions, has great technique, vision and an eye for goal which is a quality that would benefit any team."
