![]() Natalie, who has been involved in the England youth set up, spent last season in the Southern Division of the Premier League as an established first team player with Charlton Athletic and scored nine goals for the Addicks. She has also previously played for West Ham United before joining Charlton last season. "I played at the Gills for a couple of seasons when I was young, but at that time they was not too serious about girls football so I had to move on," explained Natalie. "However after contacting the club, I have been so impressed with what they have achieved in less than a year. They have got a good set up with good coaches and are very ambitious - to me it is not a step down, it's a challenge to work with everyone to get up to the Premier League, where I feel they should be." Director Of Football Martin Andrews summed up the feeling within the management team: "This is why we do it, we put in so many hours a week voluntarily and have changed the club from top to bottom within a year so to sign a player of the quality of Natalie is fantastic, it's given everyone a lift. For too long, Gillingham have been in the shadows of our counterparts in South East London, we now hope that all those girls from Kent that feel they have to travel outside it, regardless of their age, will now see Gillingham as a serious club within women's football."
