Following a successful first season, the London Football Association, in conjunction with Arsenal Girls' Centre of Excellence, is pleased to announce that its mentoring scheme for female referees will be continuing for a second year. The London FA Female Officials Programme consists of a female officials group which is organised by a Level 3 referee with extensive experience in the women's game. The group meets on a quarterly basis to discuss a range of relevant topics, observe experienced referees or listen to a guest speaker. From this group, around 10 female officials are selected to receive ongoing mentoring and the opportunity to officiate at Arsenal Girls' Centre of Excellence and receive feedback on their performance and support from experienced referees. London FA's Women's and Girls' Officer Natalie Huntley commented: "There are more female referees in London than ever before. This scheme has provided some much needed support for these officials and we are now looking forward to supporting more female officials as they look to progress. Arsenal Centre of Excellence has also seen the benefits of the scheme and Arsenal are looking forward to continuing their support into a second season." Any female officials wanting to get involved with the programme should contact London FA's Women's and Girls' Officers: Natalie Huntley natalie.huntley@londonfa.com or (07912) 050374 Emma Barnes emma.barnes@londonfa.com or (07921) 050375
