The opening day fixtures for the FA Tesco Women's Premier League have been announced. However the National Division fixtures are set to be greatly affected because a number of teams will have players selected in the England squad for the UEFA Women's Championships in Finland. Champions Arsenal were due to start their defence against Chelsea but this match, as well as their scheduled clash with Everton the following Sunday, will be played later in the season. Millwall Lionesses will start their return in the top flight with a home match against Nottingham Forest whilst Sunderland make the long, long trip to Bristol Academy. In the Northern Division, the standout match sees Liverpool take on OOH Lincoln whilst the three newly promoted sides are all away from home. Leeds City Vixens travel to Aston Villa, Luton Town go to Newcastle Utd and Derby County make the trip to Preston North End. Queen's Park Rangers, back in the Southern Division after eight years away, begin with a local derby match at home to Charlton Athletic and WFC Fulham travel to play Brighton & Hove Albion. Opening day fixtures on 16th August (subject to England squad announcement):
