![]() Julie, a strength and conditioning coach from Gateshead, had signed for the Magpies in 2007 from Doncaster Rovers Belles and joined Whitley's pre-season training last month. She put pen to paper this week and is looking forward to the season with her new team. "I know a lot of the Whitley players so I have settled really quickly and can't wait for the season to start," she said. Whitley manager Colin Phillips is pleased to have Julie join the squad: "Julie is a quality player and can play anywhere. She is good on the ball, has great vision and I am sure she will make an impact for us." Julie goes straight into the Whitley squad that will be heading to the Umbro tournament in Manchester next weekend.
