![]() However there was not such good news for Glasgow City and Cardiff City as they went down to defeats at the hands of Bayern Munich and Brondby respectively. Everton included new signing, Welsh international striker Gwennan Harries, on the bench but made a solid start as Toni Duggan kept up her superb form from the UEFA Under-19 Championships by giving them the lead. An own goal and a strike from Fara Williams, who had earlier missed a penalty, sealed the victory for Mo Marley's side. Glasgow City eventually went down to a 5-2 reverse against their German opponents but this came after fighting back from two goals down to level the scores through Jane Ross and Ruesha Littlejohn.
