Wolverhampton Wanderers kicked off their pre-season preparations with a much-changed squad by taking part in the recent Umbro Tournament in Manchester.
Manager Dave Ball was able to take a look at his new squad in a competitive environment while the new signings were also able to gel with the more familiar faces.
Wolves welcomed back Louise Roberts, Sarah Lambeth and Layla Salter alongside newcomers Dani Selmes and Hayley Packer from Aston Villa, and Sophie Walker from West Ham Utd.
Also included in Ball's squad were England under-17 player Sophie Richards, seasoned campaigners Anna Perks, Hayley Everiss and Amber Quick, along with youngsters Andrea Whetton, Nicola Durnall and Natalie Morris.
Ball admitted the tournament was a vital experience in assessing his current squad: "The weekend gave us a great opportunity to learn a few things about some of our new players," he said. "It's good to go and get five games in and it gave us a good opportunity to have a look at our options."
