Glasgow City begin their defence of the Scottish Women's Premier League this Sunday with a home match against newly promoted Inverness LFC. Last season's runners-up Spartans play host to Boroughmuir Thistle whilst Celtic travel to Aberdeen. SWFL title winners Rangers begin life in the top flight at home to Dundee Utd SC. Scottish Women's Football will move to summer football from 2010, meaning that the old season from August to the end of May, with a winter break, is replaced with a season from March to November with the month of July off. This means that in order to have a winner to enter the UEFA Women's Champions League in 2010, the league needs to run a mini-season from August to November. As a result, teams will play each other only once. The new season affects all five leagues in senior Scottish women's football - Premier League, First Division, Second Division West, Second Division North and Second Division East. The Premier League kicks off this Sunday and fixtures are as follows: Aberdeen v Celtic Forfar Farmington v Hibernian Glasgow City v Inverness Kilmarnock v Hamilton Academicals Rangers v Dundee Utd SC Spartans v Boroughmuir Thistle
