Blackburn Rovers defeated Watford 4-2 to lift themselves off the bottom of the National Division. Second half goals from Danielle Sheen, Lynda Shepherd, Rhiannon Roberts and Katie Anderton gave Rovers three vital points in the only top flight match to survive the weather. The other match between Bristol Academy and Doncaster Rovers Belles was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch as was the F.A.Women's Cup quarter final at Barnet with Nottingham Forest.
