Everton took the runners-up spot in the National Division and booked their place in the UEFA Women's Champions League for next season with a 2-0 win away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Toni Duggan gave Everton the lead and Natasha Dowie wrapped up the win with the second goal, maintaining her superb recent form.

Champions Arsenal rounded off the campaign with their 20th league win of the season, beating Birmingham City 4-1 to ensure they won the league by a margin of eleven points. Lauren Bruton and Jennifer Beattie gave the Gunners a two-goal lead in the first half, with Kim Little and Jayne Ludlow adding further goals after the break before Gina Goulding scored a late consolation for the Blues.

Chelsea will finish in third place for the second season running after they won 2-1 at Nottingham Forest. The home side took a first half lead through Andi Bell but Chelsea were back on level terms by the break with an equaliser from Drew Spence. With two minutes remaining, Sophie Perry scored a decisive second for Chelsea who ended the season with seven successive victories.
