Reading FC Women are promoted to the National Division for next season following their 1-0 win away to West Ham Utd on Sunday.

The top two teams in the Southern Division have been allocated the promotion places and a solitary goal from Natasha Caswell earned Reading a crucial victory which guarantees them the runners-up spot behind Champions Barnet.

Keynsham Town could still have caught the Berkshire side if they had recorded a victory at Portsmouth but their hopes are over after they went down to a 2-0 defeat. Lisa Langrish put Pompey ahead from the penalty spot on the hour mark and Lauren Murphy sealed the points with a powerful header from a Molly Clark free kick, fifteen minutes from time.

Charlton Athletic ended their campaign with a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Although Sherelle Walters struck the post for Palace in the first half, Gemma Bryan also hit the woodwork twice at the other end and the Addicks took the lead early in the second half through Ciara Sherwood. Emma Tune added a second and Bryan rounded off the win by breaking through to score the final goal.
