![]() The Lady Black Cats stopper is continuing her comeback after a serious knee injury, sustained in May 2009, ruled her out for almost all of last season. Helen has played six games on loan for the Icelanders in which they have won three, drawn one and lost the other two matches. They currently lie fourth in the league and Helen has picked up two "Player of the Match" awards in an encouraging spell. Her contribution has so influential that Grindavik had hoped to extend the loan period to the end of their season into September. However Sunderland will see Helen return in mid-July after the clubs agreed a three-week extension, to help her club prepare for the new season in the new-look National Division of the Premier League.
